New Delhi: Odisha’s champion sprinter and India’s fastest man Animesh Kujur showed his prowess in his season-opener at the Indian Athletics Series – 3 in New Delhi on Saturday.
The 22-year-old Kujur won the Men’s 100m and 200m races with ease. The national record-holder in both sprints, Kujur clocked 10.28 seconds and 20.74 seconds in the 100m and 200m races, respectively.
Another Odisha athlete Divya Shandilya claimed bronze in the Women’s Hammer Throw competition with a best effort of throw of 55.53 metres at the Nehru Stadium.
