Paralakhemundi: With no breakthrough yet in the death of Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra even after 24 days, Paralakhemundi Town Police is most likely to take Bidyabharati Panda to the town for a scene creation at their official residence, where her husband sustained critical burn injuries on July 12 night.
On Wednesday, a four-member team of Paralakhemundi Town Police led by IIC Bibekanand Swain had grilled Bidyabharati and her family members for over four hours at Goudagan village in Kaptipada block in Mayurbhanj district.
The team later interrogated Dibakar Mohapatra, the driver, who had brought Bidyabharati from a private hospital in Cuttack to her native village on July 13 soon after the death of her husband due to severe burn injuries.
Reliable sources said that police might have got some evidence against Bidyabharati after interrogating the driver.
The team is now on the way to the house of Bidyabharati.
Notably, the driver in his earlier briefing to the media had expressed doubts about whether police will be able to give justice to the bereaved family of the ACF if he revealed the details of the incident.
