Bhubaneswar: Odisha added another 3427 fresh infections to its affected tally, taking the active cases to 40,471 on Saturday.
The test positivity rate (TPR) was 5.34 per cent with these new cases being detected from 64112 samples.
The state saw a fall in both new cases and TPR in the last 24 hours. It had seen 3806 new cases while the TPR was 5.86 per cent.
With this, the number of Red Zone districts in TPR dropped to five (Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, Jajpur and Cuttack) from eight the previous day.
Khurda, Cuttack, Jajpur and Balasore continue to be in Red Zone with over 2500 cases.
According to the I & PR department, 1954 of the fresh infections are from quarantine and 1473 local contacts.
Khurda reported the highest of 553 cases, followed by Cuttack (396), Jajpur (285), Balasore (261) and Puri (217).
