Cuttack: Odisha has recorded 64% growth rate in GST collection during November 2021.
According to a press release of Commissionerate of CT & GST Cuttack, Government of Odisha, GST collection in the state touched a new high, amounting to Rs 4136 crore last month. In November 2020, GST collection was Rs 2528 crore.
The growth of 64% is the highest among major states for the third consecutive month as well as highest-ever gross collection by the state since launch of GST.
The progressive GST collection till November 2021 is Rs 28032.98 crore, against Rs 17,229.26 crore till November 2020, thus registering a growth of 62.71 %.
Collection of OGST during this November was Rs 1157.69 crore. The corresponding figure last year was Rs 681.96 crore, thereby recording a growth of 69.76%. It’s also the highest gross OGST collection by the state since inception of GST.
CT & GST Organization is conducting a special drive for ‘survey and registration’ of all potential GST & Profession Tax Payers throughout Odisha from November December 1 to 31. All GST taxpayers, irrespective of their jurisdiction, are advised to enrol themselves under Profession Tax Act and pay tax accordingly.
