Bhubaneswar: Athletes of Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Centre (HPC) bagged seven medals at the All-India Inter University Gymnastics (Men’s & Women’s) Championship 2025-26.
Five athletes from the HPC participated in the competition which was held at Punjab University, Chandigarh, from March 14 to 20.
Senior Women Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) athletes Adita Mondal and JM Ritika Das, and senior Men Arti
stic Gymnastics (MAG) athletes Arpan Laskar and Ajad Laskar represented Punjab University, while senior MAG athlete Jagdish Barik represented Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
They were accompanied by Ankita Baidya, WAG assistant coach and Simon Peter Moore, MAG foreign expert.
Ajad bagged gold in the All-Around event in senior men’s category. Ajad and Arpan contributed to Punjab University’s success, helping the team clinch gold in the team championship.
Jagdish played a key role as Guru Nanak Dev University team secured silver in the team championship.
In senior women’s category, Adita claimed gold medal in the All-Around and a bronze on Beam. Ritika secured the silver medal on Beam.
Both Adita and Ritika contributed to Punjab University’s success, helping the team clinch gold in the team championship.
