New Delhi: Odisha was among the states leading in kharif paddy sowing activities despite the countrywide lockdown, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das said on Friday.
“We are at an all-time high in terms of agriculture production,” Das told the media videoconferencing.
He informed that the country’s buffer stocks of rice and wheat were in excess by 30% as compared to last year.
With a normal rainfall forecast by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), agriculture will come to the rescue in these difficult times, he added.
