Bhubaneswar: Odisha is among the leading states in the country in carrying out the COVID-19 vaccination drive.
On an average 90 persons have been vaccinated per session, which is also best among other states, informed Bijay Panigrahi, Director, Health and Family Welfare here on Wednesday. This was revealed during a national-level review of the vaccination status in different states on the day.
Odisha is faring well in Adverse Events Following Immunisation (AEFI) and there are no complaints in this regard, said Panigrahi.
So far as vaccination of frontline workers is concerned, Odisha has covered 1,29,655 of them so far which is 60% more than the target, he said and added that today is the last day for immunisation of the frontline workers.
About immunisation of senior citizens, Panigrahi said there is no information regarding the same so far.
