Odisha Among Top ‘Achievers’ In LEADS 2024 With Logistics Excellence

Bhubaneswar: Odisha has regained its status as an ‘Achiever’ in LEADS 2024, advancing from the ‘Aspirer’ category with its remarkable impact for its logistics performance.

Three coastal states, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Maharashtra, were ahead of Odisha which occupied the fourth place in the list of Achiever states released by the Centre.

Logistics Ease Across Different States (LEADS) is a unique initiative of the Centre, focused on assessing the performance of the logistics ecosystem across states and union territories. The award was presented to the state by union minister of commerce and industry, Piyush Goyal, during a felicitation function on Friday in New Delhi.

Odisha has made a remarkable impact in the LEADS 2024 report, securing the coveted ‘achiever’ status for its logistics performance, placing it alongside top coastal States like Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu.

The LEADS report evaluates States and Union Territories across four key pillars—logistics infrastructure, services, operating environment, and sustainable logistics. Odisha’s stellar performance highlights its continued progress in enhancing its logistics capabilities, making it a vital player in India’s supply chain ecosystem.

While Gujarat and Maharashtra are known for their robust logistics sectors, Odisha’s focus on improving infrastructure and fostering a conducive regulatory environment has propelled it to the top ranks. Other States, including Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, also received accolades, but Odisha’s commitment to sustainable logistics and seamless operational efficiency sets it apart as a model for others to emulate.
