Bhubaneswar: Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash said that the syllabus for classes IX and X will be truncated by 30 per cent in view of the COVID-19 crisis in the state and beyond.
“Online classes are currently underway in the state due to the COVID-19 situation. However, it is not possible on the part of each and every student to avail online education. Hence, we have decided to reduce the syllabus,” Dash said.
According to him, the call regarding the reopening of schools in the state was yet to be taken.
