Bhubaneswar: Senior IAS officer Arabinda Padhee has been given additional charge of Chief Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), Puri.
The 1996-batch IAS officer was given the additional charge after the incumbent Chief Administrator Vir Vikram Yadav was granted permission to visit Canada on personal grounds. Yadav, who was serving as principal secretary of Works Department with additional charge of principal secretary, Food Supply and Consumer Welfare department and STJA chief administrator, is on leave for 21 days from May 22, according to notification issued by the General Administration Department.
Padhee will continue as principal secretary, Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment Department, with additional charge of principal secretary Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts Department while serving as the STJA chief administrator.
Similarly, 1995-batch IAS officer Hemant Sharma will take charge of Works and Food Supply and Consumer Welfare departments during Yadav’s absence. He currently serving as principal secretary, Industries Department.
