Odisha Artist Pays Tribute To Galwan Valley Martyrs Through Bamboo Paintings

Angul: A young artist in Angul district has made unique bamboo paintings to pay tributes to the soldiers who died in the violent clash with Chinese troops at Galwan valley in Ladakh.

The portraits of the 20 martyrs by Rajat Ranjan Nath, a resident of Gangijodi village in Banarpal block, have earned praises from locals.

Notably, 20 Indian soldiers including commanding officer Colonel Santosh Babu were killed in the clash at Galwan Valley along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) on June 15, 2020.
