Puri: A giant sand sculpture of hockey stick, created by eminent sand artist Sudarshan Patnaik, has found place in the World Records India.
Senior adjudicators of World Records India Sushma Narvekar and Sanjay Narvekar handed over the certificate of the record for installation of world’s largest sand hockey stick to Patnaik on Monday.
Patnaik had created the sand sculpture of the hockey stick measuring 105 ft in length on the banks of Mahanadi river in Cuttack on January 10. The sculpture also had 5,000 hockey balls. He was assisted by 15 students of his sand art institute in creating this sculpture.
Pattnaik is a world renowned sand artist who has created many records including Guinness records. He expressed his happiness in getting the certificate from World Records India.
