Bhubaneswar: The Odisha unit of BJP has appointed Arun Kumar Sahu as the party’s district president of Deogarh.
The BJP, in a press release on Thursday, said Sahu, who is an executive member of the party, has been appointed as Deogarh district president on the recommendation of state president Manmohan Samal. Sahu has been an active member of the party and is a popular leader in the district.
He was made the party’s Deogarh president hours before the incumbent Minaketan Pradhan joined BJD. Sahu’s appointment is seen as a face-saving measure adopted by the saffron party.
