Bhubaneswar: The monsoon session of the 17th Odisha Legislative Assembly will commence on September 22 and run through October 3, according to the official provisional calendar of sittings.
The upcoming session will consist of eight official business days, one day allocated for private members’ business, and days reserved for holidays and weekend breaks.
Key Schedule
Opening Leg (September 22–25): The session kicks off on Tuesday, September 22, with Official Business dominating the agenda through Thursday, September 24. Friday, September 25, is dedicated to Private Members’ Business focusing on Bills and Resolutions.
Weekend Break (September 26–27): No meetings will be held on Saturday, September 26, and Sunday, September 27.
Mid-Session Proceedings (September 28–October 1): Assembly proceedings will resume on Monday, September 28, with consecutive Official Business sessions through Thursday, October 1.
Gandhi Jayanti Holiday & Final Sitting (October 2–3): The Assembly will observe a holiday on Friday, October 2, in observance of Gandhi Jayanti. The session will conclude following a final day of Official Business on Saturday, October 3.
