Bhubaneswar: The Budget session of Odisha Assembly was adjourned sine die 6 days ahead of the schedule on Friday.
Assembly Speaker Bikram Keshari Arukha adjourned the session after the ruling BJD brought the adjournment motion in the House. The government also withdrew 3 Bills which were presented in the Assembly on March 22.
The Budget session, which began on February 21, was scheduled to continue upto April 6 in two phases. The House would have transacted business for 27 days. With the Speaker adjourning the session 6 days ahead, the House met for 23 working days.
It may be note that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to leave Bhubaneswar on April 3 on a 7-day visit to Japan.
