Bhubaneswar: The upcoming winter session of the 17th Odisha Legislative Assembly, marking its eighth session, is scheduled to commence on November 18 and will run till December 31.
According to the provisional calendar of sittings released by Assembly sources, the extensive 44-day session will feature 33 business and working days.
On the opening day of the session, November 18, the First Supplementary Statement of Expenditure for the financial year 2026-27 will be formally presented to the House. Following the presentation, detailed deliberations and discussions concerning the demands for grants relating to this first supplementary statement have been slated for November 25, 26, and 27. Concluding the initial legislative financial business for the session, the Appropriation Bill associated with the 2026-27 First Supplementary Statement of Expenditure is scheduled to be taken up and passed in the State Assembly on November 30. The remaining schedule through December will encompass extensive official business, private members’ bills, and resolutions before concluding on the final day of the year.
