Keonjhar: In a unique gesture of patriotism, an auto-rickshaw driver is offering free rides to needy people at Anandpur in Keonjhar district to pay tribute to the Pulwama martyrs.
The auto driver, Narendra Jena, said he will be offering free rides for three days as homage to the Army jawans killed in the Pulwama terror attack on February 14, 2019.
Incidentally, that was the same day Narendra had started plying his auto. Since then, he has been providing auto service to people with reasonable fare.
However, this year he launched three-day free ride to commuters from Sunday.
As part of his charity drive, Narendra would prefer to first serve needy passengers like patients, senior citizens and examinees, he added.
