Balasore: The Odisha Vigilance on Tuesday apprehended Revenue Inspector of Baincha RI Circle under Sadar Tehsil in Odisha’s Balasore while allegedly accepting Rs 10,000 bribe.
The Revenue Inspector has been identified as Dolly Sethy.
According to sources, she had allegedly demanded the bribe money from the complainant for submitting a field inquiry report of his deceased son for the sanction of Rs 4 lakh death compensation.
On April 12, the 3-year-old died due to drowning in a village pond.
A case has been registered in this connection under Section 7 of Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018, and further investigation is underway.
