Jagatsinghpur: Tension ran high in Jagatsinghpur on Wednesday after the BJP workers vandalized the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) office during the 12-hour dawn-to-dusk hartal across Odisha in protest against the suicide of the minor rape victim in Koraput district.
Sources said more than 150 activists of the saffron party came to the DRDA office on a bike rally ransacked the office stationary, files, documents and furniture.
Some party activists also had a scuffle with the office staff, who tried to resist them.
Following information, police reached the spot and brought the situation under control
