Odisha: Baripada Jagannath Servitors Request Govt To Allow Rath Yatra Sans Devotees

Baripada: The Odisha Government’s decision to allow Rath Yatra only in Puri without devotees in view of the COVID-19 pandemic has not gone down well with the sevayats of Jagannath Temple here.

The sevayats and people of Baripada, popular as Dwitiya Srikhetra of Odisha, have urged the government to allow the annual Car  Festival celebration in Baripada too without devotees like Puri.

The chariot pulling of the Trinity of Haribaldev Jew Temple here is popular across the world.

The Baripada Rath Yatra is uniqueness for its 13-day celebration and women pulling the chariot of Devi Subhadra.
