Sambalpur: Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) vice-chancellor Atal Chaudhuri’s power was curtailed by Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal following repeated unrest on the university campus. The Governor is also the Chancellor of the state universities.
Chaudhuri has been barred from taking any call regarding the university fund.
The Governor apparently decided to issue the instruction after he received repeated complaints of misuse of power by Chaudhuri.
However, Chaudhuri is set to retire on February 15.
