Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has initiated the process for recruiting 11,403 teachers in government-run high schools across the state.
The recruitment process is expected to be completed by April 2022, a CMO release said.
It further said that 3,462 teacher posts have been approved keeping in view the increase in the number of candidates. The examination and service rules have also been eased to allow more candidates can participate in the recruitment process.
On December 16, 6,131 newly-appointed secondary school teachers were inducted as part of the ongoing school transformation programme under the 5T initiative.
While notification for the recruitment of 4,619 Hindi, Sanskrit and Physical Education Teachers was released on August 13, another for appointment of TGT Arts and Telugu teachers was issued on August 28.
“The government is committed to the smooth completion of the entire teacher recruitment process within four months and the commencement of another phase of the recruitment process with the aim to transform the state’s education sector,” it added.
