Odisha: Bengaluru Woman Found Hanging In Puri’s Luxury Beach Resort

Puri: A woman was found hanging at a private luxury hotel in Odisha’s Puri on Thursday. She had been identified as Aishwarya Sahanabagh, a resident of Bengaluru.

According to sources, Aishwarya checked into a star category luxury beach resort on Wednesday as she was supposed to attend a water resources meeting by NGO named PWJ in the same hotel. She is an employee of the NGO.

She reportedly had an argument with her husband on Wednesday night and she did not take his calls this morning. After repeated attempts to reach her, the deceased’s husband contacted the hotel authorities. As she did not open the door even after continuously ringing the bell, the hotel staff used the duplicate keys to unlock the door and found her hanging.

On being informed, Sea Beach police arrived at the spot and recovered the body. Her family was also informed about her death.

From the preliminary investigation, it is suspected that she had committed suicide. A probe has been initiated to ascertain the exact cause behind the incident, the sources added.
