Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will be chairing a high level clearance authority (HLCA) meeting on Wednesday evening, official sources said.
A total of 10 proposals, including one big-ticket project of Adani Group, are likely to get the HLCA nod.
The Gujarat-based group Adani Group had plans to set up a 2,500 megawatt coal-based power plant in the state. It won the bid for Bijahan coal block in Odisha this year.
In 2014, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (APSEZ), part of Adani Group, acquired Dhamra Port Company for Rs 5,500 crore. Adani Power (APL) inked a definitive agreement in 2020 to acquire a 49% stake in the Odisha Power Generation Corporation (OPGC) from affiliates of The AES Corporation (AES), the US-based global energy company. A year later, Adani Renewable Energy Limited (AREMHL) acquired 40MW operating solar project in the state.
