Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Saturday expelled two of its leaders from Mayurbhanj district for anti-party activities.
The leaders, expelled from the party with immediate effect, are Jalen Naik, SDC Member and Parameswar Samad, Chairman of Tiring block, according to BJD office order.
“Jalen Naik, SDC Member and Parameswar Samad, Chairman, Tiring Block, Rairangpur Assembly Constituency, Dist.- Mayurbhanj are hereby expelled from Biju Janata Dal for indulging in anti-party activities with immediate effect,” the party order read.
The action was taken against the two as per the order of BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik
