Odisha BJP Calls Rahul Gandhi A ‘Liar’ Who Insulted Hindus

Bhubaneswar: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Odisha on Tuesday launched a scathing attack against Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi over his speech in Lok Sabha terming Hindus as ‘violent and liars’.

Addressing a press meet in Bhubaneswar, BJP’s Odisha unit president Manmohan Samal lashed out at the Congress leader and accused him of feeling frustrated after failing to bring the grand old party to power at the Centre.

It is quite clear that Congress is feeling suffocated while occupying the opposition bench in Parliament, he said, and claimed that Rahul Gandhi is not capable of understanding what he speaks.

Stressing that it impossible to think about India without Hindus, Samal said if Rahul should be called a liar and violent if he can describe Hindus as so.

“If Hindus are violent, how can Rahul Gandhi be excluded? He can also be considered violent, a liar and a terrorist,” the senior BJP leader said.

Noting that Rahul has hurt the sentiments of 140 crore people of the country by speaking in such a manner in Parliament, Samal said as Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha, Rahul must maintain the dignity of the position while making statements.

Accusing the Congress leader of showing disrespect not only to the Prime Minister but also the Constitution, the BJP leader said Congress has forgotten manners.

People have seen how the grand old party functioned in a totalitarian manner in its desperate bid to grab and cling on to power, he said.
