Odisha BJP Gears Up For Modi’s Sambalpur Meeting, To Mobilise 1.5 Lakh People

Bhubaneswar: With Lok Sabha and Odisha Assembly elections fast approaching, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is gearing up for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Sambalpur visit on February 3. The saffron party is taking all steps to make Modi’s meeting in the western Odisha city a grand success.

After visiting Sambalpur and holding a preparatory meeting with senior leaders of the party, state BJP president Manmohan said that around 1.5 lakh people are expected to attend the meeting to be addressed by the Prime Minister.

The BJP leader told reporters that people from all parts of the state are eagerly waiting to listen to the prime minister and there will be a huge rush at the meeting to be held at Sambalpur.

During his one-day visit to the state on February 3, the PM will inaugurate the new campus of Indian Institute of Management, Sambalpur. The Prime Minister’s visit will further galvanise the party and motivate the cadres, said Samal.

Claiming that BJP will win the next elections comfortably, Samal said the party workers are highly motivated. Apart from the prime minister, top leaders of the party including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and national president JP Nadda will visit the state to lead the campaign for the upcoming polls.

District units of the party in Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Baragarh, Balangir and Kalahandi have been asked to mobilise workers to attend Modi’s meeting.

Claiming that the public perception is favorable toward the BJP, the state party chief said 93 per cent of people of Odisha love Modiji.

In the coming days, central leaders will be coming to Odisha to attend several inaugurations and foundation stone-laying ceremonies for which a roadmap is being prepared.

Meanwhile, BJP MP Vijaypal Singh Tomar, who has been appointed by the saffron party as the election in-charge for Odisha, reportedly said that the situation is most favourable for BJP to win the elections and form the next government in the state. BJP is also set to win 16 of the 21 Lok Sabha seats in the state, the Rajya Sabha MP from Uttar Pradesh told media in New Delhi.
