Bhubaneswar: Senior BJP leaders of all states, including Odisha, are scheduled to meet party national president Amit Shah in New Delhi on Wednesday.
Sources in the party said Shah has convened the meeting to discuss preparations and strategies of the party in the states for the ensuing Lok Sabha and assembly polls scheduled for next year at the two-day party’s national executive meeting, beginning August 18.
“The national president had assigned specific tasks and told us to complete them in a time-bound manner. We are making sincere efforts to complete these at the earliest. If the tasks are completed, he will assign us new ones,” senior BJP leader and national secretary Suresh Pujari told mediapersons here.
Pujari also said that Shah would review the tasks which are completed.
Notably, Shah during his previous visit to Odisha had urged the state party leaders and workers to work diligently to accomplish the 120 plus mission in the forthcoming Assembly elections in the state.
