Bhubaneswar: Senior BJP leader and Balangir MP Sangeeta Singh Deo has lodged a complaint with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla against two Congress MPs for allegedly scratching her arm inside the Parliament premises recently. Both the MPs, Ramia Haridas and Jyoti Mani belong to Kerala.
They allegedly violated the Speaker’s ruling, which restricts Opposition members from coming near the treasury benches and came close to where Sangeeta and other ruling party members were standing and scratched her arm. Following this, she went to the hospital, sources in state BJP said, sharing information from the complaint.
The BJP MP has reportedly claimed that she has medical proof of being harmed by the two Congress MPs, sources added.
