Odisha BJP To Gherao Naveen Niwas Tomorrow Over Archana’s Honeytrap Case, Seeks CBI Probe

Bhubaneswar: Stepping up its demand for a CBI probe into Archana Nag’s honeytrap racket, Odisha BJP on Sunday threatened to gherao Naveen Niwas, residence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, on Monday accusing his government of shielding ruling BJD leaders in the case.

BJP state general secretary Lekhashree Samantsinghar alleged that despite being aware of everything about the lady blackmailer case, the Chief Minister is silent as several BJD leaders are involved in the scandal. BJP wants the Chief Minister to give a statement on the scandal in the public, she said.

Accusing Naveen of remaining silent on all wrongdoings during his 22 years in power, the BJP leader said the saffron party has decided to gherao Naveen Niwas on Monday to mount pressure on the Chief Minister to take action in Archana Nag case and order a CBI probe into the whole episode.

Stating that truth will come out only if the case is handed over to CBI, she claimed that the Naveen government is against transferring the case to the premier central probe agency fearing that everything will come to the fore and involvement of its leaders in the scandal will be exposed.

Samantsinghar alleged that the state government is deliberately protecting those involved in the honeytrap scandal.

BJD spokesperson Lenin Mohanty has said that truth will come out in Archana Nag case at the right time.
