Bhubaneswar: Bodybuilder Anil Gochhikar of Puri, made Odisha proud by bagging the Mr Eastern India-2020 title in the 75 kg category of a bodybuilding competition held at Bhanja Kala Mandap in Bhubaneswar on Friday.
Earlier in 2017, Anil had represented India in the 51st Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championships.
Kumar Sidharth, Jhantu Majhi, Binay Kumar Sahoo, Jagannath Khuntia, Bhawani Shankar Prusty and Pradipta Samant were announced the winners of 55 kg, 60 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 80 kg and above 80 kg categories respectively.
Among the guests present on the occasion were Padma Shri and Arjuna awardees Premchand Degra, Mr Universe and World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation (WBPF) Gen Secretary Chetan Pathare and Labour Commissioner, Govt. of India, Kolkata Umesh Chandra Mishra.
