Bhubaneswar: Wife of Odisha-born Bollywood cinematographer Manoj Khatoi has accused him of domestic violence and having duped her of around Rs 1.5 crore.
On Friday, Preeti lodged a complaint with the Mahila police here, alleging that Khatoi had been torturing her both mentally and physically since the day of their wedding around 19 years ago.
“He transferred a whopping of Rs 1.5 crore from my bank account to his through internet banking without my knowledge. He has been constantly humiliating me. I want legal action again him,” she said.
Khatoi son told the media that he had seen his father beat his mother in front of him.
The cinematographer has worked in over 20 Bollywood movies, including Raees, Fukrey, Talaash, Don, Taare Zameen Par and Jawani Janeman.
