Bhubaneswar: Chairman of KJS Group Kamaljeet Singh Ahluwalia passed away on Friday. He was 78.
One of the giants of the country’s mining and steel industry, Ahluwalia started his business from Barbil in Odisha. With his visionary steps, he built a vast industrial empire with companies in iron and steel, cement, construction, real estate, infrastructure and technology in five decades.
One of the respectable names in the elite group of Indian entrepreneurs, Ahluwalia took his group of companies to the level of having annual turnover of about Rs 5000 crore. He is also one of the highest income tax payers in India for the past 5 years.
