Odisha Boy Anshuman Kamila Tops IES Exam

Bhubaneswar: Anshuman Kamila from Odisha has topped the Indian Economic Service (IES) examination for the year 2019-20.

Son of former Chief Post Master General (CPMG), Dr Santosh Kumar Kamila, and eminent singer and Professor of Economics, Mitali Chinara, Anshuman is topper among the 32 candidates who have qualified the IES examination.

Expressing his happiness, Anshuman said he is grateful to his teachers, parents, grandfather and friends who had inspired and encouraged him.

Anshuman said he cleared the examination in the second attempt. “How much time one devotes to the examination is not important. What I have felt that if you regularly devote some time for an examination, you will definitely succeed” he told the media here on Saturday.

“I will try my best to work for Odisha during my tenure. I wish to be a part of the team to formulate the fiscal policy of my state for its inclusive development,” he added.

Asked for his suggestion to IES aspirants from Odisha, Anshuman said several students from students can get into the merit list if they follow the new economic syllabus sincerely and meticulously.
