Bhubaneswar: As many as 32 children, including Anvesh Subham Pradhan from Odisha, have won the prestigious ‘Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2021’.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with the winners at 12 noon on Monday.
A resident of Bhubaneswar and a Class IX of Chandrasekharpur DAV, Anvesh bagged the award for his outstanding scholastic achievement.
His father, Manas Ranjan Pradhan, is the assistant general manager of SBI’s Sambalpur branch and mother Jharana Pradhan is a house maker.
The meritorious student has received more than 570 awards and aspires to study in IIT.
The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar is an effort from the Central government to recognise children with exceptional abilities and outstanding accomplishments, in the fields of innovation, scholastics, sports, arts & culture, social service and bravery.
A total of seven awards are in the field of art and culture, nine awards for innovation and five for scholastic achievements. Similarly, as many as seven children have won in sports category, three have been awarded for bravery and one has been honoured for her efforts in social service.
