Bhubaneswar: Patience, dedication and talent are the three pre requisites for any competitive exam. This was amply proved by Shashank Shekhar, who topped the Indian Engineering Services (IES) Examination 2018 conducted by UPSC. Shashank is a student of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) Deemed to be University.
Shashank passed B.Tech in Electronic & Telecommunication Engineering in 2013 before completing M. Tech from IIT, Khargapur.
Reacting to his success, Shashank said, “I did not take any coaching for the exam. There is a wrong notion that only IITians or NITians get better marks and IES is only for them. Students like me have proved this perception wrong.”
Congratulating Shashank, Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS said Shashank’s success proves the quality of teaching and educational ambience at KIIT.
