Odisha Boy Yash Mishra Receives Rashtriya Bal Puraskar From President

Bhubaneswar/ New Delhi: Yash Mishra from Bhubaneswar received Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar from President Ram Nath Kovind at a special function held at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Wednsday.

A alumnus of DAV Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar, Yash was conferred with the Bal Shakti Puraskar for excellence in the field of scholastic achievement. He received a cash prize of Rs 1,00,000, a tablet, medal, certificate and a citation during the occasion.

Yash is currently studying in Sir Padampat Singhania School at Kota. He had earlier won gold medal for India in Singapore Asian Mathematical Olympiad.

A total of 22 children, including 10 girls and 12 boys, were felicitated on the occasion.

The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar is being given under two main categories – Bal Shakti Puraskar and Bal Kalyan Puraskar.
