Odisha Boys Oust Punjab En Route To Junior National Hockey Semis

Kovilpatti (Tamil Nadu): Odisha boys overcame Punjab 3-1 here on Wednesday evening to enter the semifinals of the 12th Hockey India Junior Men’s National Championship.

Goalkeeper Komal Soreng was adjudged Man of the Match for his stellar performance under the bar.

Odisha qualified for the last-eight stage with an all-win record in pool stage, thrashing Rajasthan 5-0, Puducherry 9-0 and Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu 5-1.

The Odisha boys will look to emulate the women’s team which lifted the Senior Nationals crown earlier this month.
