Khurda: Police on Sunday arrested a brother duo for illegal possession of firearm after a minor boy was injured in a freak mishap in Odisha’s Khurda.
According to sources, the siblings – Siba Naik (21) and Rabi Naik (19) of Tangi were involved in an argument following which Rabi fired one round from a country-made firearm.
While Siba escaped narrowly, the bullet ricocheted off a wall and injured a minor boy. The injured boy was rushed to a local hospital and recovered after first-aid, sources added.
After being informed Khurda police arrived at the spot and arrested Rabi and Siba on charges of possessing firearm without license. A case has been registered in this connection.
