Cuttack: An employee of the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) of Odisha was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly selling fake high school certificate (HSC).
According to reports, the accused has been identified as Bhramara Bara Nayak, who works as a jamadar in the BSE office in Cuttack.
It was alleged that Nayak had sold a fake certificate for Class X to a resident of Keonjhar district for Rs 45,000.
The person who had obtained the certificate from the accused later approached the board after he came to know that he had been cheated and had got a fake document.
Following his complaint, the BSE authorities informed Mangalabag Police about the matter and an investigation was conducted. After investigation, police arrested Nayak on the charges of selling the fake certificate.
