Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has made a provision of Rs 2000 crore under MGNREGS in its Budget for 2021-22 to provide minimum wage rate in 20 migration prone blocks of Bargarh, Balangir, Kalahandi and Nuapada districts.
The budget provision also includes Angul, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Jajpur and 3 blocks of Mayurbhanj, according to a Panchayatiraj and Drinking Water department release.
The total Budget provision for the department is Rs 20293.94 crore out of which, Rs 15188.43 crore is under programme expenditure, Rs 522.11 crore administrative expenditure, Rs 2023.46 crore 15th Central Finance Commission and Rs 2559.94 crore under 5th State Finance Commission.
