Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik will begin his virtual campaign for Balasore Sadar and Tirtol assembly constituencies, where bypolls will be held on November 3, from Wednesday.
Briefing mediapersons on Tuesday, senior BJD leader and Law Minister Pratap Jena said that the BJD president will attend rallies on digital platforms for his party candidate from Tirtol Bijay Shankar Das on Wednesday and Swarup Das from Balasore Sadar on Thursday, in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The BJD president will address around 10,000 people of eight to nine gram Panchayats in Tirtol through video conferencing from Naveen Niwas. Since the mobile network is poor in some panchayat, LEDs have been installed to allow people to attend the virtual rally,” Jena said.
At around 5 pm on Thursday, the party supremo will address people of around eight gram panchayats in Balasore assembly constituency.
