Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet scheduled to meet at the State Secretariat here on Friday afternoon is most likely take a decision on farm loan waiver, ahead of the visit of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the state on December 24.
Though there is no information about of the agendas to be discussed at the meeting, reliable sources said that the state cabinet is most likely take a decision on waive of farm loan and a hike in the minimum support price (MSP) of paddy with an extra bonus to the farmers.
The meeting, to be presided over by the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, will begin at 4.30 pm.
The Chief Minister, who left on a tour of Jharsuguda this morning, will return to the Odisha capital in the afternoon and preside over the cabinet meeting, official sources said.
