Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the commencement of the 16th Assembly session, the state council of ministers will discuss various aspects of the annual budget in a meeting here on Thursday evening.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will preside over the meeting to be held at the State Secretariat at 5.45 pm.
The meeting will thoroughly deliberate on various aspects of the budget for the 2019-20 fiscal year and decide on giving sector-wise priority.
Sources said the meeting is most likely approve more financial allocations in the budget as the state government has decided to include 25 lakh more beneficiaries under the KALIA scheme.
The annual budget will be presented in the Assembly by the Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari on June 28.
