Bhubaneswar: Odisha cadre IAS officer Sushil Kumar Lohani has been sent on deputation to Central government.
According to a notification of Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions on Saturday, Lohani has been appointed as additional secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj.
Lohani was among IAS officers of different state cadres whose appointments at the Centre was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Union Cabinet.
A 1995 batch IAS officer, Lohani was serving as the Principal Secretary to the Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department of the Odisha government. He has also served as the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) in Odisha from 2019 to 2023.
