Bhubaneswar: The Crime Branch of Odisha Police has established Bengaluru link behind the hacking of WhatsApp account of OCAC CEO Manoj Pattnaik.
A four-member team of the CB will soon leave for Bengaluru to probe into the case, said Crime Branch ADG.
Pattnaik on Thursday said, the hackers posed as OCAC CEO and demanded money from his contacts, who transferred around Rs 7 lakh to accounts shared by them. A complaint was lodged at Saheed Nagar police station here.
A 4-members team is investigating into the case of the OCAC CEO, who is also Additional Secretary of the State Electronics And Information Technology (E&IT) Department.
