Sambalpur: The inter-state meeting between Odisha and Chhattisgarh on the management of Mahanadi floodwater will begin in Raipur on August 6, Hirakud dam chief engineer Sunil Nayak told the media on Thursday.
Nayak said the two states will discuss the management of floodwater through dams in the upper and lower catchments. “The meeting will discuss about exchange of information and coordination between the two states relating to flood control measures,” he added.
Senior officials and engineers of the Water Resources Department as well as the Hirakud dam chief engineer and other officials will be present at the meeting.
