Odisha Chief District Veterinary Officer Caught With Rs 3.91 Lakh Unaccounted Cash

Baripada: Mayurbhanj Chief District Veterinary Officer (CDVO) Abhay Kumar Tripathy was caught by Balasore vigilance team at Hatapada near Betnoti with unaccounted cash of Rs 3.91 lakh on Friday.

Acting on reliable information, the Vigilance sleuths intercepted his car at around 8.25 am while he was on his way to Bhubaneswar. Tripathy was unable to satisfactorily explain the source of the huge cash being carried in five envelopes, official sources said.

Simultaneous raids are being conducted at his residential house at Jayadev Vatika in Bhubaneswar and his office chamber and rented house at Baripada, the sources added.
