Odisha Chief Secy Appointed Jagannath Temple Managing Committee Working Chairman

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Tuesday appointed Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja as Working Chairman of Shree Jagannath Temple Managing Committee.

The 1990-batch IAS officer has been assigned the responsibility in addition to his current duties, a notification issued by the Law Department said.

Ahuja was appointed as new Chief Secretary after the retirement of incumbent Pradeep Kumar Jena on June 30. He is also serving as secretary, General Administration department.

Puri Gajapati Dibyasingha Deba is the chairman of the committee with Shree Jagannath Temple chief administrator, Puri Collector and SP, and ASI Superintending Archeologist as ex-officio members and 12 other members. It looks after the administration and governance of the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri.
