Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja has been given additional charge of Chief Resident Commissioner of Odisha in New Delhi.
The 1990-batch IAS officer, whose service period was extended for one year from January 1, 2025, has also been serving as the Working Chairman of the Shree Jagannath Managing Committee since August 13 last year.
“Manoj Ahuja, Chief Secretary, Odisha with the additional charge of Working Chairman, Shree Jagannath Temple Managing Committee, Puri, is allowed to remain in additional charge of Chief Resident Commissioner, Government of Odisha, New Delhi,” read the notification issued by General Administration and Public Grievance Department on January 24.
In August last, Vishal Gagan, special secretary in the Industries department, was appointed as Principal Resident Commissioner of Odisha at New Delhi, after being assigned additional charge following the transfer of Ravi Kant, to the Home Department as Officer on Special Duty.
Notably, Kant, a 1998-batch IAS officer, was the first appointee to the Resident Commissioner post at Odisha Bhawan.
